W1 Natural Waterways Zone

The W1 Natural Waterways zone is for waterways below the Mean High Water Mark where there are ecological and scenic values that require careful consideration and management.
Where is the W1 Zone?
This zone is currently used only for the Murrumbidgee River, near Jugiong. It is intended to continue its use in the new, consolidated Hilltops LEP.

- To protect the ecological and scenic values of natural waterways.
- To prevent development that would have an adverse effect on the natural values of waterways in this zone.
- To provide for sustainable fishing industries and recreational fishing.
Proposed Changes in the Draft Hilltops LEP
There are no proposed changes to the W1 Zone in the draft Hilltops LEP.
