Draft Terrestrial Biodiversity Map – Draft Hilltops LEP
Drop in at the Hilltops Council Offices to discuss the proposed Environmental Planning Controls and mapping in the Draft Hilltops LEP.
Staff from Hilltops Council and NSW Government Biodiversity Conservation Division will be available at the drop in sessions on Monday 22nd March and 23rd March.

Environmental Clauses and Mapping in Draft Hilltops LEP
Of note in the Draft Hilltops LEP, an updated Terrestrial Biodiversity Map is proposed. The updated map has used data and information from the Biodiversity Conservation Division of Department of Planning Industry and Environment.
Other Draft Hilltops LEP Environmental Clauses include:
- Terrestrial biodiversity (Clause 7.2)
- Riparian land and watercourses (Clause 7.3)
- Groundwater vulnerability (Clause 7.4)
- Protection of water quality in drinking water catchments (Clause 7.5)
- Salinity (Clause 7.6)
- Highly erodible soils (Clause 7.7)
Other clauses include:
- Earthworks – (Clause 7.1)
- Flood planning (Clause 7.5)
- Development along the Lachlan and Boorowa Rivers and Lake Wyangala (Clause 7.8)
